What does Make It Ready do?
Make It Ready is a property readiness company. We handle one-time interior and exterior make-ready work — painting, drywall repair, finish work, minor repairs, minor appliance repair, punch lists, pressure washing, and finishing landscaping — so a property is ready for what comes next.
What is a property readiness company?
A company organized around the condition of the property rather than one trade. You tell us what the property needs to be ready for — a listing, a new tenant, an opening — and we handle the applicable work to get it there.
What does “make ready” mean?
In property terms, make-ready is the work that prepares a property for its next use: paint, drywall, repairs, finish work, and exterior touch-ups before a sale, lease, turnover, or occupancy.
How is Make It Ready different from a handyman?
A handyman is a great fit when you have a specific task. Make It Ready fits when the property has multiple interior and exterior items that all need attention before it can move forward.
How is Make It Ready different from a remodeling contractor?
A remodeler or general contractor changes the property. Make It Ready gets the existing property ready. More than one thing, less than a remodel.
Do you handle both interior and exterior work?
Yes. Interior work includes painting and touch-ups, drywall repair, trim and finish work, doors and hardware, minor appliance repair, minor repairs, punch lists, and turnover preparation. Exterior work includes pressure washing, exterior paint touch-ups, minor exterior repairs, and one-time finishing landscaping (mulch, mow, hedge trim). We don't provide cleaning, junk removal, or ongoing lawn care.
Can you prepare a property before it is listed for sale?
Yes. Listing-ready work often includes paint touch-ups, drywall repair, pressure washing, a fresh mulch and hedge trim, and punch-list items before photography and showings.
Do you work with real estate agents?
Yes. Agents can bring us in so their sellers have one property readiness contact instead of several vendors.
Can you prepare a rental property for a new tenant?
Yes. Turn-ready work can include painting, touch-ups, drywall repair, minor appliance repair, doors and hardware, and punch-list work between tenants.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes. We work with landlords, investors, small multifamily owners, and property managers on turnovers, acquisitions, and quarterly Keep It Ready walkthroughs.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. Commercial-ready work includes interior touch-ups, minor repairs, pressure washing, finishing landscaping, and punch-list items for new occupancy or openings. We don't perform major tenant improvements or construction.
What is Keep It Ready?
Keep It Ready is a quarterly readiness walkthrough and maintenance visit for occupied properties, so the property always stays ready. It can include air filter changes, smoke alarm checks, touch-ups, and minor repairs.
